On 10-31-10 at midnight Co.22 & 36 were alerted for a brush fire on the Westernport Rd. near the Allegany Garrett County line. Co.24 and 19 were alerted shortly after and responded to the scene with water and manpower. The fire started due to a tree falling and knocking down a power line. The winds were high and the fire jumped the roadway at one point, crews quickly knocked the advancing fire and moved to contain the flanks.
